The SkillBridge project aims to create a comprehensive occupational mapping system for Bangladesh, aligning skills development with industry needs. By assembling a team of government, industry, academic, and training specialists, the project will research existing occupations, analyze international frameworks, and develop a national system that classifies skills, defines occupational levels, maps qualifications, and identifies core competencies. Through pilot testing, refinement, and stakeholder capacity building, the project will deliver a user-friendly framework with online resources and training programs. This system is expected to increase mapped occupations, improve skills training alignment, enhance worker mobility, and gain widespread adoption, ultimately leading to a more skilled workforce, economic growth, and individual opportunities in Bangladesh.
